Today,April 20,2005, my state's govenor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, apologized for saying that our
borders need to be closed. Rather, he says, that he MEANT to say, that they should be secured.
Wow, I am incredibly amazed every day at the...audacity of Democrats and their horrendous views. Yes,
let's keep the borders open! Let's keep letting all the Mexicans into our country, because after all, we're not AMERICA, we're
MEXICAN- AMERICA! Sheesh! I was watching the news, a few days ago,
(not a major biased news channel who doesn't tell the whole story, or just fails to report a story
at all, to sugarcoat their views)
when they were talking about the Mexican border to California. They actually showed the border; it
is roughly a 3 ft. high thinly wired fence. You can hop over it, or twist the wire and climb through. It is a desert basically,
and there is practically no security. They even showed a group of about 30 Mexicans crossing over while they were showing
the fence. I was shocked; growing up as a naive little girl, I always imagined the border to be a high heavily guarded security
gate; not so in the least.
The reporter interviewed a group of citizens called the Minute Men, who were helping the
police to stop illegal immigrants from coming over. They haven't used ANY violence, they are only upkeeping the law, yet our
foolish, self proclaiming, "Christian" President calls these men, "vigilantes". How incredibly rude and unthinking of our
President to say about men who are helping our country. Why don't you just go shoot our troops while your at it. They are
helping protect our country too. A member pointed to a trailor where an old woman lived, who has been robbed some number like
57 times or 59 times already by these illegal immigrants. It is so terrible, and it happens every day. Hundreds of illegal
immigrants coming over every day, but the President doesnt do anything, in fact, he signed a bill that would legalize their
coming over. How nice of you to do your job and PROTECT our country, Mr. Bush.
Getting back to the orginal story, the Democrats complained at the govenors original statement, so
that is why he apologized. Here is what one of them said:
"I don't think the governor identifies himself with that kind of rhetoric," said Assembly Speaker Fabian
Nunez, a Democrat. "I don't know why he said it, but I'm very pleased he has totally removed himself from those folks who
espouse that kind of hatred."
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Hatred. Hate Crime. Discrimation. Anything that goes against your views must be
HATE. oh shut up! I'm sick of it!!!! And I'm only 17! How long must I have to hear this in my lifetime!!!!???
